Sickness to multiple kids meant a lot of shuffling was necessary for the JV and C-Team. 3 players normally on the C-Team played up a level while 3 8th-graders were needed to help the C-team. A midst all of the shuffling, both teams suffered from a little lack of offensive cohesion. The Jackets trailed 38-16 heading into halftime. They managed to get the game within 8 points late. “It was a great second half effort but we came up short,” said coach Brian Schwantz. Freshman Carson Speicher led the Jackets with 16 points. Noah Christenson added 3 3-pointers on his way to 13 pts. Colton Hammans (8 pts), Andy Hanson (7 pts), Aaron Solberg (4 pts), Ben Winkels (3 pts), and Logan Richter (2 pts) rounded out the scoring for the Jackets. The Jackets are 2-2 after the loss.

The C-Team was missing 4 starters due to sickness and shuffled rosters, but managed to hold things together early. 4 3-pointers from 8th graders Carter Cresap (3) and Caleb King (1) provided a majority of the offense as they went into half with a 14-12 advantage. The size and strength of the Cowboys eventually wore on the Jackets who were a little careless with the ball at times in the second half. Seth Johnson (11 pts) and Josh Jeziorski (6 pts) provided the offense in the second half, but it was too little as they lost 39-35. Also scoring for the Jackets was Tanner Knutson (4) and Dalton Honer (2). The loss brings their record to 4-2 on the season.
