If you've never had a chance to sit this close to an NBA game, I recommend you ante up and watch one game this close. It's amazing how good NBA players are. You'll find out a few things you wouldn't believe.
First - NBA players defense. As in, big time defense. It doesn't look like it on television and they find ways to be effecient (aka - they don't stand in a defensive stance if they are guarding a non-shooter who doesn't have the ball 30 feet from the basket).
Second - They are more athletic than you even think. Even the guys that don't look athletic. The knock on James Harden coming into the season was he wasn't athletic. He had the greatest missed dunks I've ever seen in person.
One highlight was a late timeout. You can't see him, but coach of the year candidate Scott Brooks is drawing something up. The guys that aren't in the games, including the coaches, are watching a montage of bloopers on the big screen. By my count, Maurice Cheeks, Kevin Ollie, Etan Thomas, Nene Kristic, DJ White, Kyle Weaver and a few random assistant coaches are all more intested in a random dad catching a softball in the nads than they are whether or not they are going to go over the top of screens or under the screens on the pick and roll.
